HOUSE SPARROW TERRACE.
In the UK the population of House Sparrows has plummeted in recent years. The lack of suitable nesting sites is thought to be one of the causes.
House Sparrows prefer to nest in colonies so we have designed this terrace specifically to attract House Sparrow groups.

Box should be positioned so the opening is out of the rain and wind and facing somewhere between north & south-east. The birds should have a clear flight to the nest box opening and away from feeding containers and tables as this causes conflict between nesting and feeding birds. Old nesting material should be removed in October or November and the box scalded with boiling water to kill parasites, do not use any treatments powders or preservatives.
Timber is a natural product & when exposed to nature may shrink, swell, split & distort. This is a natural process and will not affect its structural properties. We cannot accept any claims for returns in regard to these natural processes.
