Stainless steel screws included to fix the box allows easy removal for the whole life of the box. If the box is fixed to a tree the screws should never be left in when the box is removed.
Box should be positioned so the opening is out of the rain and wind and facing somewhere between north & south-east. The birds should have a clear flight to the nest box opening and away from feeding containers and tables as this causes conflict between nesting and feeding birds. Old nesting material should be removed in October or November and the box scalded with boiling water to kill parasites, do not use any treatments powders or preservatives.
Timber is a natural product & when exposed to nature may shrink, swell, split & distort. This is a natural process and will not affect its structural properties. We cannot accept any claims for returns in regard to these natural processes.
